Rebecca Mendoza Mejia is a first generation Mexican-American Director, Screenwriter and Production swiss-army- knife. Based in Brooklyn, NY but born and raised on the Texas US-Mexico border, she found herself traveling back and forth between countries and cultures, allowing herself to explore both worlds . As a storyteller, she strives to tell truths while grasping on to the hopefulness she felt as a child. This sentiment is manifested and sprinkled throughout the numerous music videos she’s directed for artists of different genres, backgrounds and musical styles. She brings a similar approach as a creative strategist and producer. Rebecca’s upbringings are those similar to any first generation, child of an immigrant, relentlessly hard working, boots on the ground household. Throughout her young career, she has taken on a variety of roles that all embody her love for honest storytelling and creative expression. From brand managing the original 1974 Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise to talent managing multiple musicians in the live capital music of the world, Austin, TX. Rebecca lives everyday ready to take on new opportunities and challenges.
